This rehab was a complete overhaul.  The basement stairs behind the original oven wall were relocated to a completely different section of the home, adding more space for a kitchen and a master bathroom (behind the kitchen).  The old laundry room was removed and rebuilt to add a butler's pantry.  The layout was opened up completely to to neighboring dining and living rooms, with exposed beams and duct work and a tongue and groove ceiling.  This allowed space for a kitchen island and a new sink wall facing the backyard.  The island was updated to feature reclaimed lumber from antique crates and pallets.   Cabinets were antiqued and finished to suit a lived-in farmhouse feel with a farmhouse sink and plenty of space for baking.
